# Getting Started

Echo is a Chrome extension that turns your Gmail into a live dashboard — visible every time you open a new tab. No need to check your inbox manually: invoices, deadlines, flight details, promo codes, and anything else you care about are always in front of you.

## Install the extension

Download Echo from the [Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/echo-gmail-inbox-insights/bdgklmihpalglaamaaonceocgjijhgab?authuser=0\&hl=en) and install it in one click. Once installed, every new tab in Chrome will show your Echo dashboard instead of the default page.

## Set up your account

After installing, you'll be redirected to [echo.beau.to/login](https://echo.beau.to/login) to create an account and [connect your Gmail](/welcome). From there, follow the steps to create your first Rule and start seeing data.

> **Note:** Echo is currently in closed beta and not yet verified by Google. When connecting Gmail, you may see a warning screen — click "Advanced" → "Go to Echo (unsafe)" to proceed. This is normal for apps awaiting Google verification.
